"Where Is The Dress?"

Prom was nearly here

But my dress seemed to disappear.

It was supposed to be delivered the Saturday before prom
But it was nowhere to be seen and time kept ticking like a timed bomb.

It was coming from India, so tracking it was tough
My cousin and I called the shop sure enough.
They kept saying it should come in soon
But it was already the third of June!

I started to become very anxious waiting for it I confess
So my mother and I decided to get a backup dress.
I was not very excited for it as I was for my original one
But I was glad that I was able to get everything done.

On the day of prom...
I had to stay calm.
The original dress came in five minutes before I had to leave
And there was nothing I could do except for grieve.

Eventually, I got over it since it only lasted temporarily
Took pictures at pre-prom and went to prom merrily!
